Well, it's getting close to 3 p.m., which was my self-designated time by which I wanted to get an "End of the Work Week Wisdom" up... since I only had two offerings today, I'll post both of them, for posterity and such! :)

From gwarocks: "The things you own end up owning you."

From Derek: "Leave nothing to chance."

Groovy! Thanks, guys! :)

Friday Five this week is about reading, which, as we all know, I don't do... it's not that I don't like reading, but when you work in front of a computer all day, the last thing you really want to do when you get home is read... so I haven't read much since Christmas time... aside from the reading I have to do for my class, but even that gets more of a skim than a read.

And, for the "End of the Work Week Wisdom" today, I thought I'd do something different. I want my readers to leave me a quote in the comments... I'll go back through them later this afternoon, and post the one I like the most! :) Feel free to leave more than one if you like, but probably no more than 3. Kewl?

We watched "Velvet Goldmine" last night. The sound quality on the dialogue kinda sucked, but other than that, we liked it! :) Ewan is such a cutie... it was really eerie to me, though, how much he looks like Kurt Cobain in that movie... I really do think that if they make a movie about Kurt Cobain (soonish), Ewan should play him...

Oh, and I'm really excited about a new movie that's coming out this fall, called "Underworld"... technically, it's still "in production," but I've seen some stills from it, so it looks like it's probably going to come out... vampires and werewolves... rock on! :)

Time for work now...

Well, we watched "There's Something About Mary" last night... pretty cute, pretty funny, and pretty predictable, at least after "Brett" showed up... *sigh*...

But, the more exciting news is that we also rented "Velvet Goldmine," which means that I finally get to see it! w00t! :)

And they're predicting more snow today. I am SOOOOO glad that we went to the grocery store last night... snow sucks... big time!

Back in the theme of last week...

Things that are cool:

  • Civilization. As in the original computer game... the one that has to run in DOS... old school as you can get, but it's so much fun! :)
  • The fact that it is no longer 84 degrees in my office
  • Wearing my pointy toed boots, and having them actually keep my feet warm on the walk to work!

Things that are not cool:

  • The black sooty looking stuff that is coming out of the vent in my office... YUCK!
  • The cold outside, and the likelihood of more snow soon
  • The fact that I just gave myself a headache trying to blow the sooty stuff off of some of my desk and bookshelf... *sigh*...

And in other news, no, we haven't watched many movies lately... "Snatch" has been in the DVD player since Saturday, but I've only watched bits and pieces of it this time around... I've seen it two or three times, so that's alright...

Question for the comments: can you think of ANY movies that Johnny Depp is in that aren't any good? So far, we have only come up with "Crybaby," which I haven't seen...

gwarocks says I need to update... :p

My update on the con is on my LJ... :)

Was sick yesterday, and still don't feel great, but I'm better... throat is still sore, but doesn't seem to be as a result of talking too much, as Gabe's is... which might mean I'm sick...

ACK... I'm so dumb... my blog turned one on Friday, and I forgot to wish it a happy b-day! I only remembered now because I realized that it was a month to my birthday... I'm getting old... *sigh*...

That's all for now... I'm busy... and sleepy, cuz it's hot in my office... :(

Friday Five!

1. What is your most prized material possession? I suppose my new computer, at the moment...

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest? Oooh... tough one... I think it would be my Batman T-shirt... you know, the one that used to be black, but now is more of a grayish color? I don't even wear it anymore, cuz I'm afraid it might just fall apart if I did... :)

3. Are you a packrat? Ummm... no comment would pretty much give that one away, wouldn't it? :)

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum? As much as I would like to be able to keep my apartment a tiny bit tidier, that's a pipe dream, cuz I'm really lazy... :) I don't mind some clutter, at any rate... just as long as it's somewhat organized clutter, to aid in finding stuff... oddly, though, on the other hand, I'm sooooo anal retentive about keeping my White Wolf books organized... :)

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there? Theme? What's that? I suppose the only theme that I have is there is a lot of celestial looking stuff in the bedroom and computer room... but even that is all spread out and mixed up with other stuff... :)

::..::

End of the Work Week Wisdom:
"Yes, we are rationing milk. Because there isn't any more."
--*shrug*... it's better than nothing, right?

::..::

And in other news, only a half day of work today! w00t! :) The plan at the moment is...
1) Work till noon
2) Run home, do the dishes, and generally tidy up the apartment
3) Go get a few groceries, and run by Cindy's office if she doesn't stop by mine this morning
4) (Hopefully by about 3ish, when Gabe gets out of class) Head to the Con, and see how much of a disaster my games are gonna be... :)

Exciting, no? :)

More things that are cool:

  • Getting my phone line hooked up to my computer
  • Getting all the downloads I needed for my computer in less than two hours... and they all worked!
  • Getting all the stuff for RR done! w00t!
  • Windshield wipers that have decided to work again!
  • Nicer weather today!

More things that are not cool:

  • Discovering that it is definitely the phone line that is causing internet connection problems... and really not wanting to have to call the phone company to get them to fix it, cuz I know they will charge a ton of money for that...
  • Still having 3/4 of a day to work today, and a 1/2 day tomorrow...
  • The fact that LJ seems to be down... :(
  • The fact that it's going to snow this weekend, dashing any hopes of running RR outside! :(

I think that's all for now... :)

Things that are cool:

  • Having a new computer!
  • Watching the speed at which the Sims runs on said computer!
  • Looking at the hard drive space and drooling, because I have no idea how I could EVER fill that up!

Things that are not cool:

  • Windows XP... it blows...
  • Not being able to install Microsoft Office... I can't remember if the CD had this problem before, or if the computer is being retarded...
  • Not having a long enough phone cord to attach this computer to the internet and download the stuff I need...
  • Not knowing for sure if the phone line or the modems are screwy, but leaning heavily towards the phone line side of things...
  • Rain.
  • Windshield wipers that don't wanna work, particularly when coupled with rain.
  • Having tonight and tomorrow to finish off the RR stuff, and really wishing I could just play with my new computer!

Memo to self: never order a new computer a week and a half before a convention... BAD idea... :)

What? I haven't posted all day? Sorry! :)

I've been working, and drooling over the fact that my computer is getting here today... in fact, it's probably across the hall from my apartment at the moment, taking up space in the neighbor's apartment till Gabe or I get home... :) At least we don't have to go out to Marion to get it! :)

Right, back to work now...

(Note: this will probably not appear for a while, as a handy little message tells me that publishing is temporarily unavailable... :( )

And the Monday Mission is ready! :)

1. For me, breakfast usually consists of a bagel and cream cheese. And I wait until about 10AM to eat it, mostly to avoid eating a mid-morning snack. What do you like to eat for breakfast? Do you even eat breakfast?
- French toast sticks, just about every morning. On the weekends, it's more likely to be cereal or toast, but during the week, it has to be french toast sticks... otherwise, I have to eat something before lunch... :)

2. Back in 1990, I worked at a radio station in the Promotions Department. Our office was directly below the DJ booth. One day there was this thundering bass booming from upstairs. It was just a huge booming sound, with an amazing beat. My manager and I bolted out of the office and up the stairs to the production room. When we opened the door I was smacked in the body by a wall of sound. What I heard reminded me of "Super Freak" but the bass was thumping like I'd never heard before. Then the vocals began, it was a "rap" I would never forget: "My, my, my music hits me so hard, makes me say 'Oh, My Lord, thank you for blessin' me, with a mind to rhyme and two hyped feet.'" The song was MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" and it blew my mind. What was the song that "blew your mind" and is etched in your brain forever? Recall the moment and why it remains in your mind.
- It's really hard for me to pick just one song, because I love music so much... but as for some songs that I've heard in the recent past, and absolutely fallen in love with the bands responsible... I have to thank Jim C. for both... the first was VAST, which he played for me while we drove around town one afternoon. He played "Touched" then, and "Pretty When You Cry" later... both were kewl, and now I anxiously await their next CD... the other was Apocalyptica, and I believe the song was "One"... when Pat, who plays stand up bass and other stringed instruments, started absolutely freaking out about how amazing these cello players were... I had liked the music before that, but when someone who I really respect as a musician freaks out about how good a song is, then I know it's even better than I thought! :)

3. Do you like to gamble? Have you ever won (or lost) big?
- Nope, though the occasional poker game during LARP is always fun... mainly cuz we play for Josh's beads, not money... and I was winning by a lot in the last game I played in... :)

4. Some people find comfort for their troubled mind in food. Others find it in music or books. What do you turn to for comfort when you are troubled or worried?
- If we're talking strictly objects (i.e. not people), then music... but otherwise, Gabe.

5. When was the last time you felt apathetic? What was it about?
- Heh... I can be the queen of apathy, and the most hyper person around, sometimes at the same time... :) Apathy defines our generation... and I really don't care enough to decide if that's a good or bad thing... ;)

6. I just read that Google bought Pyra Labs (Blogger.com). Although Blogging was going "mainstream" before this, it most certainly will now have greater exposure, and one assumes, bring us even more Bloggers. Is this a good thing?
- As long as it doesn't slow down the speed of Blogger's servers, then yeah, it's great... I would love to see a lot of my friends that don't blog get their own blogs... a lot of my friends already do (well, LJs, but same difference), but there are others that should join in... :)

7. What did you do with all your freetime before you blogged?
- I guess I surfed the internet a lot more for random stuff, and also wrote more E-mails in response to the "how are you doing" type E-mails from friends. Now that I have my blog, they can just read on here how I'm doing... :)

BONUS: Should I stay or should I go now?
- You can go, as long as I can go home... :)

Well, it was a weekend of many movies... so here they are... :)

Friday night was "The House of Yes"... this is an incredibly kewl movie (based on a play, which is very apparent)... VERY Malkavian... Gabe had been mentioning it every once in a while, so we went and found it on Friday night... (side note: the benefit of being weird and quirky and NOT wanting a romantic type movie on Valentine's Day is that pretty much anything you would want to rent is available... :) )

Saturday afternoon was "Before Sunrise," which was okay... it was definitely cute, but I was unfortunately falling asleep during the beginning of the movie... so, since it was something that you could listen to, without watching, I just worked on a pair of jeans I'm decorating for Dani... :)

And then last night, we finally watched "Blue Velvet," which I've owned for at least five years, but only watched maybe once in that time... and Gabe hadn't seen it, so I had to get him to watch it... :) When compared with other David Lynch movies, yeah... this one is much better... not nearly as confusing as "Lost Highway," or anything like that... :)

Other than that, game on Saturday rocked as always, though some of the people I was expecting didn't make it down... and I got Valentine's Day presents from Thor (OOC) and Peaches (IC)... so that was nifty... :)

Okay, time to start typing real stuff... Monday Mission later, maybe...

Ah-hah! My archives are back! :)

So this project isn't really nearly as bad as initially anticipated... I've already finished two packages... :) Of course, this is because only about 15 pages of it was material from the Memoirs. The second package was an exact duplicate of the first, yadda yadda... so I'm already on the 3rd package, and a lot of that was just stuff to flip over as well... maybe a fourth of it... granted, I've still got something that appears to be maybe 1000 pages to deal with, but hey, it's not too bad... right? :)

My hands hurt...

Time for the Friday Five!

1. Explain why you started to journal/blog. I think it was something along the lines of "because everyone else is doing it"... :) I liked the idea of having a webpage that I updated daily (or close to it), without all the work that is usually associated with updating daily... :) As a side note, my page was a year old in January; my blog turns one a week from today... so w00t! :)

2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not? Yeah, a good chunk of my friends in C-dale read it on occasion, some more regularly than others. Megan reads it too, even though she never calls, and only leaves me strange comments like the Setite song... :)

3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog? Not in the slightest... :) Well, except I usually talk about movies that I've watched recently and such...

4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year? Uhhh... I suppose it would be good to keep it going, but that's about my only goal... :)

5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs. Jess, who is a fellow gamer; Promoguy, who does the Monday Mission; Wil Wheaton, formerly of Star Trek: the Next Generation and movie fame; Barry the Gnome, the tales of woe of a garden gnome seeking liberation for his brethren; and Johanna, another fellow gamer and all around interesting girl! :)

End of the Work Week Wisdom:
"Fish are never really alive; they're just less dead!"
--Red Foreman, on That 70's Show

Fish?
Quack.

::..::

In other news, I've got another major project at work... see, for as long as I've been here, there have been 3 large packages on the top shelf in my bosses's office. Just packages, wrapped up in brown paper, and just sitting there.

So I went in to his office yesterday, to ask him what my next project was, having finished the last one he gave me. And he said "The Memoirs."

Now those two little words might not mean much to the average reader of SWG.net. But to me, they meant quite a bit more. As some of you know, I work for the Ulysses S. Grant Association. And we edit things that Grant wrote. Well, the big project, the final project, is going to be to produce a professionally edited version of Grant's Memoirs, which he wrote when he was dying of throat cancer, to help support his family after he died.

And so we took down one of the three packages, and unwrapped it, and I got to work.

I have a stack of paper on my desk, easily more than 500 pages. Handwritten. That was one of the two small packages. There's another one of the same size, and a third, about half again as big, at least, waiting for me.

Can we say I just got busy again?

Even though I have internet at home, I still didn't post yesterday... I know, I'm odd like that...

Meaning, of course, that I was at home yesterday, cuz of stupid allergies... *sigh*... one of these days, I will go get tested to find out what exactly I'm allergic to... but I think mold is definitely one of them... makes sense, seeing as I'm allergic to amoxicillin, and doctors don't want to give me any other "-cillin" type drug, as a result... :)

So yeah... one more week till E-Con... I'm mostly ready... should probably work on some of that tonight though... at least for the LARP, which still needs some work...

Oh... I got the other Cruxshadows CD yesterday, AND the Baz Luhrman box set... so we watched "Romeo+Juliet" last night... such a good movie... :)

And the Cruxshadows CD is okay... right now, I think I like their 3rd CD (Wishfire) the best... and it's hard to pick which of the others I like second best... "Telemetry of a Fallen Angel" is really good, but has bad. goth. poetry. "Whisper of a Shadow" (I think that's what it's called) is okay, but it's much slower than the other ones, which are more dance-y... and since I'm so much a perky goth, I like dance-y... :)

Well, I'm here, though not terribly happy about it... Megan came by yesterday and coughed on me, complaining about being sick... *sigh*... just what I needed! :p

Watched "Waiting for Guffman" last night, which was far too funny, though rather bizarre... not nearly as weird as "Lost Highway," of course, but weird just the same... :)

I've got everything ready for my TT game at E-Con, and most of the stuff for Redneck Rampage... this is a good thing, seeing as it's next weekend (starting on the 21st)... I hate having to rush around to get everything done at the last second!

Okay, back to work, for now...

Well, as best as I can figure, the song I was talking about was "Spectators," which is probably my favorite off of the new CD we got... I think "Carnival" is the other one with the female vocals... I'll have to check tonight... :)

We watched "Pump Up the Volume" last night, which was a lot of fun... it was kinda funny to hear some of the music in it, as it was made in 1990... :)

And, the Monday Mission!

1. In the states, every citizen is expected to perform their civic duty and serve on a jury at some point. This week, I am on jury duty. Have you ever had to serve on a jury? I got called for jury duty a couple of years ago, went to the courthouse for all of 2 hours, and that was it. No cases that week. :)

2. If you were to ever serve on a jury, would you be able to give someone the death penalty? I probably would, but I'd have to be in that situation to be sure.

3. One thing that concerns me about jury duty is what my life would be like if I had to convict someone. I'd always be worried about some sort of retaliation from the convict, or their family. Has fear of negative consequences ever kept you from reporting a crime or voicing your opinion? Voicing my opinion, sure... but I've never seen any crimes that I needed to decide on reporting or not reporting...

4. When it comes to convictions, I've never even been convicted of speeding (accued yes, but heh, never convicted). Have you ever been accused of or convicted for breaking any laws? What's the real story there? Well, I got my speeding ticket, and didn't contest it, so I guess I've been convicted of that... of course, I was speeding, as I always did when driving to E-ville... this time, it was a race with the boys... :)

5. It looks like I will have a lot of time on my hands this week in the jury pool. I may get called, I may not. If not, I go back tomorrow. Rinse, wash, repeat. How would you pass the time if you had to sit and wait around from 8am-5pm for 5 days? READ! Read lots! :) Unless they'd let me have my laptop there (and plugged in), and then I'd probably play games... :)

6. One thing I do like about this "civic duty" is that it will be at the downtown courthouse. I LOVE downtown. There is just so much life there. What part of your town is your favorite to visit? Why? What makes it so special? There really isn't much to C-dale, so there isn't much to love. But I do like where I live. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, plus all 3 of the gaming / comic stores within a reasonable walk... and campus is very nearby as well, which is terribly convenient when you work there! :)

7. I'm not that outgoing around strangers, so I doubt I will be meeting many new people this week. Do you have any problems striking up a conversation with someone you don't know? Have chance encounters with strangers ever led to interesting new relationships or opportunities? If some random person talks to me, I might talk to them, but I won't initiate it either, in most situations... gaming is another situation altogether, as I usually know I have something in common with that person...

::..::

In other news, I suppose it's possible that at any moment, I will be inundated with water from above... there are workers banging around up there, I can hear water flowing somewhere, and, oh yeah, the office was flooded from above on Saturday... it's a big old mess, although it barely touched my actual office... so w00t for that, at least... :)

In important breaking news, Megan's pants kick ass... :) No really, they do... she's taken a pair of burgundy colored corduroys, and cut out two roses, one on each leg, and then replaced that area with black fabric... very very neat... too bad they're WAY too big for me to borrow... :)

Friday Five time!

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not? French toast sticks... yummy... :)

2. What's your favorite cereal? Golden Grahams

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change? During the week, usually only one night a week. On the weekends, usually for dinner on Friday and Saturday, and sometimes lunch on Sunday... it's mainly because it's rather convenient to just eat at the Student Center before game, and cuz I'm lazy on Sunday... probably SHOULD eat out less, but I dunno if that's gonna happen... :)

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that? Probably Taco Bell or McDonalds... maybe Subway... it all depends on the lines... or, maybe, we'll eat at home... in that case, I'm guessing manicotti...

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why? Depends... I like going to Burger King for fast food... New Kahala for Chinese food... though there's a place in E-ville that was REALLY good for Chinese... can't remember what it was called, but it's right by their Good Will (which is an AWESOME and huge Good Will)...

::..::

End of the Work Week Wisdom:
"This place is fantastic; it's like "Gone With The Wind" on mescaline. They walk imaginary pets here, Garland---on a fucking leash. And they're all heavily armed and drunk. New York is boring!"
--from "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"

Snow again, yet it feels warmer than it was yesterday and Tuesday... hello, bizarre weather! At least it seems to only be sticking to the grass, some small portions of the sidewalk, and pedestrians. :)

I was able to stay awake during class slightly better this morning, but I still felt myself drifting off a couple of times. It wouldn't be so bad, if we weren't watching Power Point presentations every day... because the professor turns out the lights, and it's grayish outside, so I feel like I should be asleep! Especially when I didn't want to get out of bed in the first place!

I'm working on revising some of the other parts of the site, to make them match my main page. It'll probably take me a while, since I've actually got stuff to do at work lately... :)

One of the things I do on occasion, when I'm bored, is to go to IMDB and look up movies and such... well, I learned earlier today that Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean are working on a movie called "Mirror Mask," so I thought I'd look it up on IMDB... no luck there, so I punched in Neil Gaiman instead...

They MIGHT be making a movie of Good Omens!!!!!! DUDE!

And, secondly, I had to take a look at the stuff on "Neverwhere," which was a GREAT BBC miniseries that I was lucky enough to see and then buy last year... based on a Neil Gaiman book, of course...

Laura Fraser, who plays Door, is in "Titus" and "Vanilla Sky," along with some other movies that I think I've heard of...

Clive Russell, who plays Mr. Vandemaar (the tall one), is in "The 13th Warrior"...

Paterson Joseph, who plays the Marquis de Carabas, is in "In the Name of the Father"... maybe I will watch that again! :)

Let's try this again, shall we? "Why the Carbondale mall sucks," by the ScaryWhiteGirl... :)

When I first found out that the mall was getting a Hot Topic, I was all excited. I had actually never been to a Hot Topic at this point, but I had heard about them. Some of my friends would show me stuff they got from there, and talk about how they hated having to go to Paducah to go to Hot Topic. So I was very happy that we were getting one! Until I went in, and saw the prices...

I don't like spending money on clothes... I'm perfectly content to get hand-me-downs from my sisters, because they LIKE spending money on clothes... and if that fails, I don't mind shopping at Good Will, especially for game clothes... so when I see a cute little skirt at Hot Topic for $38, I'm not going to buy it... and when it goes to the 50% off rack, and is only $17, I'm still not likely to buy it... I have broken that rule on occasion, to get my black and purple skirt, and also my glow-in-the-dark skeleton shirt, but that happens fairly rarely (and I waited till both of those were 50% off... :) )

The one thing that Hot Topic does have going for it, however, is that they sell good goth compilation CDs, usually for about $6. So I can live with that... I just won't buy their normal CDs, cuz, again, I don't know why I would want to spend $17+ on a CD... I like used CD stores so much better... :)

So anyway, we noticed last night that Afterthoughts and Kay-Bee Toys were both completely closed (I knew Kay-Bee was closing, and Gabe said he noticed that Afterthoughts was closing a while ago)... and the mall seems to be springing up more and more trendy clothes stores... and they're sooooo bright... when we were walking past Old Navy, I said "I think the lights in there are burning my skin"...

So we left... and went to Wal-Mart, where they didn't have the Baz Luhrman (sp?) box set that I was going to buy (with Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet, and Strictly Ballroom)... :( So instead, I bought Gladiator on DVD, and Pump Up the Volume on VHS... cuz it was only $4.50... :)

Anyways, that's all... and covers the basic gist of my earlier post... though not nearly as eloquent as I made it sound the first time!

Damn damn damn... I just wrote a really long entry, about why the C-dale mall sucks, and now it's gone... THIS sucks... :(

It's back to being cold in southern Illinois... I REALLY can't wait for spring this year. We got such a nice taste of it on Sunday, and now I really miss it!

We watched "Mallrats" last night, which is always fun... Kevin Smith movies are good in general... I still can't decide which is my favorite, though it's probably "Dogma"... but I like all of them, so it's hard to pick a favorite, because that ultimately sticks something in last place...

There's a new pic of me on the Forgotten page, which I may modify and put up here as a new picture on the left... or I may just wait and see if Gabe takes a random picture of me that I like... having the digital camera around is really kewl! :)

Monday Mission!

1. Do you remember the first LP, 45, CD or CD single that you bought? Recreate the scene for me. I don't know what the first one I bought with my own money was, but I do remember that the first tape I was given as a gift was the Miami Vice Soundtrack. Which, if nothing else, ought to give a hint as to how old I am... :)

2. What was the last CD or song that you actually paid money for? Hmmm... the last CD buying spree involved coming home with some Cranberries, Morrissey, Ace of Base, and Apocalyptica... but, again, I've gotten CDs as gifts more recently: specifically, Rasputina (Thanks for the Ether and How We Quit this Forest).

3. It is my personal opinion that "Munchos" and "Funions" are the most perfect snack food ever. What do you think is the best snack food ever? Chocolate covered pretzels... mmmmm... :)

4. Comedian George Carlin once pointed we consider the things we like to keep around us to be our "stuff," whereas other people's stuff is just junk to us (ok, he used more colorful language, but you get the idea). What "stuff" do you have that someone else might just throw away if they were cleaning out your house? Where to start... :) Probably in the closet where I keep piling the "craft" type stuff, that will never have anything done with it... though I do have plans to clear some of it out at some point in the very near future.

5. Do you think it is wrong for people to rush to e-Bay and start selling Space Shuttle Columbia collectibles? I think it's kind of ridiculous...

6. Does it bother you when President Bush speaks about God and invokes scripture quotations from the Bible during his speeches? If I listened to his speaches, then yes, that would bother me. I just solve the problem by rarely watching TV, thus rarely seeing him speak...

7. I have a friend who think's she's being photographed in public restrooms. What paranoid delusion do you have?* I can't tell you that, or THEY will hear me, and know that I know about THEM! :)

Bonus: Can't you feel the weight of my stare? Not as long as I'm not looking at a picture of you... :)

I find it rather amusing that despite the fact that I have internet at home now, I still don't post on the weekends... :) Somehow, it just doesn't really cross my mind... :)

Monday Mission isn't up yet; we'll have to see if it comes up later, and if it's interesting... :)

Game on Friday night, in E-ville, was okay... slow, but okay... Game on Saturday, here, kicked all possible ass! :) Like Dan (G-Lo) said, can't wait for NEXT Saturday already! :)

Yesterday was sooooooo nice outside! We went and took pictures at the cemetery in the middle of C-dale... the one I can never remember the name of, but it's on the register of historic places... anyway, aside from the above ground coffin (which you have to see to understand), not much of interest there... but maybe some of the pictures will show up here... digital cameras are really kewl, cuz you can actually use them to take decent pictures of yourself!

Oh, and we watched "Monster Squad" last night, thanks to Karac (and the tape he's had since he was 3...)... what a fun movie... :)
