Random ramblings cuz I have nothing better to do... or something... :)
This is the site formerly known as Anneke's Haven. Within, you will find information about my previous White Wolf chronicles, and other random gaming related stuff. I also have a blog here, where I talk about pretty much everything and anything, though it's primarily about my exciting life... the definition of exciting definitely being up for debate.
Enjoy your visit, and come back soon!

After receiving 13 discs of MP3s over the weekend (6 from Dennis, 7 from Thor), and going on a mad ripping spree last night, I know have about 3,500 songs on my computer. About 250 of these are covers. I have to approximate, because I'm pretty sure I missed a few when putting together my cover playlist, and because I've discovered that there were a few duplicates (mostly in the Reel Big Fish / Me First and the Gimme Gimmes range...).

All told, the most covers I have of any one song is "Send Me an Angel," of which there are 3: Zeromancer, Thrice (?), and Paul Oakenfold. Sadly, I still don't have the original. More sadly than that, I don't even know who did the original... *sigh*...

Most of the covers I ended up with are of the quasi-punk variety... I say quasi-punk, because Reel Big Fish, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes aren't REAL punk... they just pretend... :) But their covers aren't too bad... :)

In addition to all of the covers, I've also gotten some other really good stuff. "The Vampire Club" by Voltaire is an absolute riot. I finally re-obtained the song from the rave scene in Blade... which is apparently a New Order song, remixed to hell and back! I have more Bella Morte and Switchblade Symphony than ever before, and it rocks. And I have Shakira. Yes, Shakira. No, it's not goth. It's Latin dance-y music. And I LOVE it. It makes me want to dance and sing my heart out, and that can be all kinds of fun... :) And Seth J., I'm gonna be burning you a new CD, because you need to check her stuff out... at least the English songs... :)

Hey, while trying to answer the same question of the song "Send me an Angel" I came across this site and another that answers this dilema http://www.inthe80s.com/covers/s.shtml

The song originated from an 80's band called Real Life.
