Random ramblings cuz I have nothing better to do... or something... :)
This is the site formerly known as Anneke's Haven. Within, you will find information about my previous White Wolf chronicles, and other random gaming related stuff. I also have a blog here, where I talk about pretty much everything and anything, though it's primarily about my exciting life... the definition of exciting definitely being up for debate.
Enjoy your visit, and come back soon!
Well, E-Con starts tomorrow, and thus begins another chapter in "let's see if we can sell stuff we made"... :) I've got dice bags and bookmarks, and I think they'll do alright. Hopefully the rest of my friends will do well also. :)
I finally figured out basketweave stitch in crochet last night. It's not so much a stitch as a stitch pattern. Unfortunately, the pattern I was working from was flawed, so my first few tries were coming out wonky. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, and then figured out that the pattern was wrong, so I have it figured out now. It's a pretty kewl pattern, in my opinion. And, well, you can never have too many dishrags... :)
I have a couple of projects that I need to finish, and then I think I'm done with anything that I NEED to make for a while. I've got a few things printed out that I'd like to try, though... I really want fuzzy flip flops, and even bought new flip flops just for that purpose... :) Hopefully they'll turn out cute and comfy, as they appear to be in all the pictures I've seen... :)
In other news, I bought a cheap digicam last night, so I can take pictures and put them straight onto my computer now. The transferring the pictures is easy; I'm still getting the hang of how this camera works. It seems to do well with longer shots, but not too good with close-ups. And by close-ups, I mean anything within arms reach. I always try to take pictures of myself, but they never come out like they should. I think part of the problem is the flash being too bright at that range, so I may have to just turn off the flash for close-ups... :)
And in other other news, I'm loving the weather right now. I wore shorts and a tank top after work last night. Gloriousness! :)
(And yeah, I realize that in a few short weeks, I'll be complaining about the heat, and wishing for fall. But for now, I will revel in the glory that is spring... :) )

Music to mention, not to rant about. :)
Finally remembered to borrow some CDs from J last week, so I have much new music... well, it's not really new, not even new to me, but it's good stuff... :)
First off, three Erasure CDs--The Innocents, Chorus, and Pop (which is greatest hits). All good stuff to have, though I really hadn't heard much from Chorus previously. I used to own The Innocents (apparently), and Pop (I remember owning that one). The only thing I want now is Wild, which was one of my favorite tapes when I was a senior in high school... 13 years ago... *sigh*...
Second off, Bowie. :) Changesbowie is good, but the new 2 CD set is even better. It does not, unfortunately, have the Bowie and Trent Reznor duet of "Hurt," but that's okay. There's still a lot of good stuff on there, and much of it is stuff I didn't have already. :)
We also swapped some Smashing Pumpkins (he had Adore, I had Mellon Collie), and I finally got a copy of the "Sin" single by NIN. Mostly it's just remixes of "Sin" (odd, that), but it also has "Get Down Make Love," so that's kewl to finally have... :)
And I think that's all... :) Still have a lot more CDs that I want to borrow, but I've got time.
In other music news, I'm trying to get my hands on some swing music, but not real swing music. More like stuff that was popular a few years back. I think I've got the hook-up on that, though. Gotta love gamers, we collectively listen to EVERYTHING ever made. :)
::..::
And in other news, I'm very pleased with the fact that spring seems to have come to southern Illinois, and additionally pleased that starting next week, we'll have even more daylight after work, allowing J and I to go places outside... :)
Of course, I'm gonna be cursing daylight savings time when I wake up at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, and it feels like 6 a.m. But once I get past that, it'll be good... :)
Actually, I'll probably be cursing that phenomenon known as morning all weekend, due to E-Con. Luckily, I'm off work on Monday, so I can recuperate from it... :)

I realized yesterday that I'm currently involved in six different games. This is almost to the point of ricockulousness (yeah, that's a made up word), but not quite. Here's the rundown...
Orpheus: The good news is that after this weekend, this one goes away. So then I'll be down to five games. I'm pretty much done with the work I need to do for it, just a little more tweaking of the plot, and making sure all the character stuff is ready to go. Should have most of that work done today, and then still have a couple of days to fine tune it. Should be a fun game, I think! :)
OWBN: Not too much going on here right now, but I do have the next Elysium to consider. I've started working on it already, though I haven't gotten far. I need to contact one of the St. Louis players, but thus far, I haven't been able to get ahold of him. I'm also going to need a bit more music than I have thus far, but at least I've got someone giving me one CD... :) I'd just rather get most of this taken care of BEFORE the last minute, as I didn't enjoy running around like a chicken with my head cut off last time. The good news is that these things are now regularly scheduled, so I have some advance notice as to when I have to plan things for... :)
Sabbat: Luckily, I'm officially between characters in this game. I have all of my stuff for my new character submitted, but I don't really have to do anything with her until the next game rolls around. No in-weeks or other planning necessary... :) If I get my background points before the next game, I'll probably want to spend them (and maybe some of my XP), but until that, I've got nothing... :)
Cammie: There's still almost 3 weeks till the next Cammie game, so right now, I'm mostly just chilling. I have to finish a report that I'm working on, and write my in-weeks eventually, but for now, there's nothing pressing. Gotta decide where I want my XP to go, but I think I've got that sorted out too. Also, there's only 2 more sessions of this game before they go on their summer hiatus, so it's really not too pressing to put too much work into it. :)
Garou: And then the Garou game will pick up right where the Cammie game leaves off, at least in terms of when we play... :) Luckily, there isn't a whole lot to work on for this right at the moment. The Nates and I need to go up to St. Louis at some point, so they can see the caern, and we need to work on plot, but I think all of the rules crap is finally sorted out. Now we're waiting on backgrounds and character sheets, but they technically aren't due for a month, so I'm sure we'll only see a slight trickle until then... :)
Shards: This is a TT game that I got into just this past Sunday, run by Dennis. I'm really enjoying it thus far, even if I haven't done a whole lot just yet. I like his STing style, and I can tell already that there's a LOT of backstory and behind-the-scenes stuff going on, and that's awesome. Granted, I am only playing a grad student (it's a mortals in the WoD game), but she's a fun character... needs a little development, but I think she's okay so far. She's not a terribly far stretch from myself, I suppose, which makes it easy to play her... :)
And yeah, that's six. Craziness, I tell you. But it's a lot of fun too... :) The nice thing about a plethora of games is that it usually gives me a lot of ideas for writing, and as I've been wanting to do more writing, this is a good thing. :) Now, to find the time to write... ;)

Well, I'm impressed. "Short Circuit" actually held up to the years. I hadn't watched it in ages, probably since I was a kid. J bought it for me for Christmas, and I had been waiting to watch it. But yesterday seemed like a good day to watch it, so I did. And I still liked it. :)
Now to find a copy of the 2nd one, perhaps. :)
Watched "The Princess Bride" on Friday, and still love it, too. :) The world will never know just how many times I've seen that movie, but suffice it to say "a lot," and leave it at that. :)
::..::
In other news, I think this week may have the look of insanity about it. Probably not, but it may. :) It may just be today that has the look of insanity about it, but when you're tired due to lack of sleep, it's not always easy to look past the current day. Well, at least I know what all is going on today, and what I need to get done when I get off work. So that's kewl. :)
In other other news, I had a good birthday this year. :) Still very pleased with my tattoo, and looking forward to reading the comic that Dennis and Megan got me (30 Days of Night), as well as using the gift card that my mom sent me to buy another comic (The Dream-Hunters). :) Yeah, I like comics. :)
(And in other comic news, I need to get J started on Sandman one of these days... :) )

Blah, not much crafting going on lately. Trying desperately to finish making the dice bags that I need to make for E-Con, which is next weekend. I only have about 8 more to finish, I think. I'd kinda like to make some more stuff, but I don't have any really good ideas. Maybe I'll crochet some dice... :) No, seriously, I think it can be done... :) They'd be odd as hell, but I think I can do it... :) Probably only 6 siders, but still... it'll be fun... :)
Ummm, yeah. So many things I want to do, not enough time. I've been working lots on stuff for my Orpheus game for E-Con, and for the Garou LARP for this summer, and that's been eating most of my free time. Well, that and hanging out with people at Steak n Shake, and chatting online... so basically wasting lots of time. Should try to cut back on that, but I'm a social person... it's hard to do... :)
Really looking forward to the weekend though... for those SWG.net readers who don't know, tomorrow is my birthday. Around here, we do what are called "birthday weekends," which basically means that the entire weekend nearest to your birthday is devoted to mass insanity in honor of you getting older. :) In my case, this entails me getting a tattoo tomorrow (squee! I'm excited!), J cooking me dinner, seeing Brat Pack that night, and having a bunch of tequila on Saturday after game... or at least theoretically having a bunch of tequila. I like the stuff, but knowing me, a couple of shots and/or drinks, and I'll be plenty drunk... :)
The good news is that I don't usually get hungover from tequila... *crossing fingers*...
And if I do, not like I have much to do on Sunday... :)

I think today I will rant about the fact that I have no new music to rant about. Granted, this is partially my own fault. I could go to P-Mac and buy myself some new music. I could remember to borrow some of J's CDs. I could buy some of the CDs I've been thinking about getting online. I even have a site bookmarked for some stuff to download.
But I'm lazy. Or I'm busy. Or some combination of both of those things.
Oh, but I could mention the new NIN song, "The Hand that Feeds"... the first time I heard it / saw the video, I didn't really care for it all that much. But the X is playing it a LOT, so that I heard it twice on Monday night, within less than an hour. Seriously. And now that I've heard it a couple of times, it's beginning to grow on me... but I suspected that it would... how can you not like Trent, after all?
So May 3rd, new CD. Sometime in June, fall touring schedule. Yes, the SWG is a happy camper... :)
In the meantime, though, I will probably continue to whine about my lack of new music. Because even if I did go shopping for some new CDs, I would probably only continue to whine, because I don't like about 80-90% of what they're playing on the radio these days anyway. Then again, I haven't liked much of what has been on the radio in the past few years. Early-mid 90s radio was alright. Now it just sucks. With a few notable exceptions.
Bah, I'm tired and ranty today. Not a good combination... :)

Well, yeah, I suppose there is a game update to be made. OWBN got cancelled on Friday, but we played Sabbat on Saturday.
Paz is no longer. This is not surprising in the slightest. I went into the game knowing full well that I wasn't going to survive the night. As it went, I did have a slight chance to save the character, but it wasn't an option I was willing to take. She would have had to back down from declaring herself Bishop, which would have effectively made her less than nothing within the city. A few people already didn't like her, they would have made her unlife (and that of her pack) miserable. So if she had lived, she probably would have had to leave.
At least I was prepared for it, and expecting it. And at least she didn't die to exploding cars. In fact, her death was completely off screen, and I like it better that way. Sure, that might lead to some people not believing that she's dead, but her pack will know, as their vinculum ratings for Paz will have broken.
Anyways, this means it's time for Ember, which is going to be fun. She's a Tzimisce dominatrix. Actually, she's a lot of things, but the dominatrix explanation seems to work well... :) I've gotten her background about halfway done already, once I finally found the right voice and style to write it in. So far, it's going very smoothly, and I'm hoping to finish it off today. Soundtrack is already done, and that's definitely contributing to the smooth flow of the story. I'm working in a format similar to Morgan's background, where each "chapter" is capped with a song quote from the soundtrack, but rather than a narrative story, it's all first person.
So yeah, I'm definitely pleased with the overall outcome of Paz's time in the game, and I'm looking forward to playing Ember. And thus far, it's looking like she's got a much better survival rate... ;)

Movie watching hasn't been too high on the list of things to do lately, though I have watched a couple of movies I've already seen. "28 Days Later" was on the agenda for Friday, and "Ghost Ship" last night, as J hadn't seen either of them yet. So yeah, good movies in both cases, rife with examples of people in horror movies being retarded... cuz that happens a lot.
I'm not a really big fan of horror movies, though I've grown to like them a lot more in the past few years. My parents never let me watch them as a kid, which was probably a good thing. Later, when I was able to choose my own movies, they just didn't seem like my thing, and I often had people telling me that I would be scared by them. I guess they may have been right, as I don't always do well with scary things. But I've gotten considerably better with it over the years, to the point where I now own several legitimate horror movies that don't involve vampires (cuz I've never really had much of a problem with those)! :)
I think I'm going to have to watch "The Princess Bride" sometime this week. It's been far too long since I've watched it, since there are few people that I can con into watching it with me... :) Something about me quoting every line, and having seen it 300 times, I suppose...
The only problem with keeping a back log of potential End of the Work Week Wisdoms is that by the time you get around to potentially using them, they don't seem as kewl... :(
So we'll just go with something simple, and always appropriate...
Well, we'll do movies today, as I have a few to report on.
"Pauly Shore is Dead" - Do not watch this movie. It will make your IQ drop. We didn't even finish watching it, because we had had enough after an hour. I'm surprised we lasted that long.
"Collateral" - Not too bad, not exactly what I had been anticipating, and a little bit predictable. But not a bad movie. It's very odd seeing Tom Cruise with white hair, and looking kinda old. But either the makeup was good, or he's finally aging... :) Which reminds me, I should add "Legend" to my list of movies I need. I didn't like it as a kid, but it's much better now. :)
"Saw" - Cindy had warned us that this was a "rent it" sort of movie, not worth seeing in the theater. She was so right. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't really good either. Cary Elwes has aged very poorly, and is no longer even remotely attractive... and his makeup was bad throughout the whole movie. This one seemed like it was predictable, and then they try to throw you for a loop at the end. Yeah, okay, so you get thrown for a loop, but it's super duper lame...
Oh, and the previews on the 2nd disc of "Saw" suck ass. Not that the movies will necessarily be bad, but the previews basically show a long scene, and that's it. And they didn't pick particularly good scenes to show. And I'm concerned that "The Devil's Rejects" is probably going to suck. Why did "House of 1000 Corpses" need a sequel? WHY?!
So yeah, here's hoping we can rent better movies next time... and to think, I vetoed "Anchorman" and "Dodge Ball"... I'm thinking they may have been better choices than "Pauly Shore is Dead"... :)

Well, I was thinking about cramming all of the early part of the week's usual entries into one, but then I decided to just skip them, and get on with today's music post.
Interpol. ohmygod.
Yeah, the show was last night, and it was incredibly cool! We got in about quarter to 7, made a mad dash for the stage, and stayed there. So when Q and not U came on, the lead singer was RIGHT in front of us. And when Interpol came on, when the guitarist would move away from his mic, he stood RIGHT in front of us. So despite the drunk girls to the right, the drunk bitches to the left, and the 12 year old boys behind us, it was all good. And no, I'm not really exaggerating any of our neighbors. There was one couple that seemed okay nearby, and the 12 year old boys weren't bad, they just looked soooo out of place... but I guess I looked 12 at some of the shows I've been to... hell, I'm sure I didn't even look 21 last night... :)
So yeah. Q and not U was pretty good. Couldn't understand most of what they were singing, but there were a couple of songs that I heard people in the crowd singing, so that's neat. And the lead singer played a recorder, and some sort of keyboard that he blew into to make it make noise. So rock on for odd instruments... :)
Interpol was absolutely awesome. I can't remember all of what they played (I never can), but they played "Slow Hands" and "Narc" back to back, which made me super happy. The encore was three songs from their first CD... "Stella," "Say Hello to Angels," and now I forget what the last one was. My only disappointment was that they didn't play "Obstacle 2," but meh, I can live. I have it on my computer... :)
And J caught one of the drumsticks that the drummer threw out into the crowd. Gave it to one of his managers at work, which is very kewl, especially since he's a drummer and wanted to go to the show.
Now to figure out what to do with my ticket to save it... :)

Once again, a deferment on the stock of End of the Work Week Wisdom for something new that Nathan found and introduced me to last night...
"Nuh-uh! You need, like... an army. With, like... Ninjas... and... umm... Wizards! NINJA WIZARDS!" --On how to get into Mordor
I'm convinced now that if my neighbors didn't already think I was nuts, the sound of me laughing my head off when there was no one else in my apartment will have convinced them fully that I'm insane. :)
In other news, there's a shirt at Hot Topic that says "Ninjas totally flip out and kill people." I'd want it a whole lot more if it wasn't tan colored. :)
In other other news, Nathan should not be allowed to send people links, because they're all crazy. I have now seen the Badger song, and the Kenya song. The latter of which is totally adorable. :) The former of which made me want to die. But I was laughing while wanting to die. :)
So now, I shall allegedly work, while listening to dance-y goth music and wishing it was time to go home already. Fridays are good, because they're the end of the work week. But I just wish they went faster. :)
Oh, and if you don't see me posting for a few days, never fear. Interpol is Tuesday, so I'm off work Monday-Wednesday of next week. And probably won't get online much. :)

Crafting of the crochet variety has been a bit slow lately. I finished the afghan for my official niece; I've started working on the afghan for my unofficial niece or nephew. And that's really about it. I've been busy. :)
In other realms of creativity, however, I've been writing a bit here and there. I'm working on one story, and I've been given ideas for several more. I'm writing a background for my back-up Sabbat character, as it seems likely that she'll be necessary in the near future. Usually, once I get started writing, I start getting all kinds of ideas for neat stories. This also usually coincides with when I'm working heavily on a game. It makes for me being really busy, with all of the things I want and need to get done, but hey, being productive isn't all bad! :)
Oh, and I wrote a poem not too long ago. No, I don't think I'm going to share it publicly, but I might show it to people who are interested. We'll see, though. I'm okay with people reading my short stories, for the most part, but I'm not too big on sharing the poetry. I think it's probably because of a couple of factors. The biggest one is that people have told me that I write well. But I've had people really bash my poetry. Granted, the people who bashed my poetry are not people whose opinions I value in the slightest, but it is still a little disappointing to have anyone tell you that something you've created sucks.
Crazy busy lately, and more crazy busy-ness to come. Whee! :)

Gotta pimp this site... The Music Made Me Do It. It's a lyrics site. And it rocks. It doesn't have all of my favorite bands, but it has a lot of them. :)
And because of it, I think I know where I'm going with the story that I've been working on... I got stuck on it, so it's been on the back burner for a bit, but then I found some song lyrics that I think fit perfectly with the story... so I'm going with it... we'll see how it turns out... :)
Still cryptic for now, though a few people have been told who the story is about. More people will figure it out within the first page of story text, by the descriptions... but I'm hoping for the outcome to be a surprise... :)

Nope, no musical ranting this week either. I need to acquire myself some new music before that will come about. :)
6 days till Interpol, and I'm way excited! :) I also found out that I'll get to see Brat Pack on my birthday, which rocks.
Unfortunately, I also found out that I'm gonna miss three shows that I'd love to get to see. Tori Amos, Erasure, and NIN are all playing Chicago in April or May. And the chances of me actually going to see them are about zero. Chicago is a VERY long drive. My only hope is that NIN will play St. Louis over the summer, and I can go see them then.
But yeah, definitely keeping my eye on the concert listings in Nightlife, just to see if there's anything I want to go see coming up. Between that and Shawn generally keeping me posted on what's going on in St. Louis, I should be able to hear about shows before they sell out... in theory... :)
I burned copies of a bunch of CDs that I only had on my computer, and brought them to work. So I've been listening to lots of Portishead and Interpol at work... good stuff... :)

I've reached an interesting point in my gaming career. I currently have two PCs whose death is imminent. One is much more imminent than the other, I can guarantee. But it's an odd feeling. While I used to always believe that Morgan was going to die every time I played her, and while Dani used to get herself involved in some pretty deadly situations, it was never quite this imminent.
OWBN went smoothly enough, and although Mel has a lot of people who want her dead, the chances of them acting on that desire are minimal at the moment. It almost shook down that I was going to be running the entire show, as Dennis was sick, but he showed up at the last minute, so Mel got to play second fiddle, as well she should. :) Had fun chatting with my favorite Gangrel, Eric McKulla, and otherwise just chilling. If anything, I was bored. Which sucked, but I made a couple of washcloths... so it wasn't entirely a waste of time... :)
Sabbat game was much more interesting. Due to Fogey and Lyra getting into a shouting match, Paz ended up declaring herself Bishop... which is apparently not the way things are done (meh, like she knows that... :) ). So things seemed to fall in line pretty nicely, and then I took my pack out to find us a Cammie to kill. Well, we didn't get a Cammie, we got her ghoul. And it was mostly a clusterfuck. So now we have to take care of all of that, in addition to dealing with the fact that some Bishop is probably coming for my head. Whee! :)
At this point, all I'm trying to do is minimize how many other people end up going down because of me. I'd be very happy if Paz is the only one to die. I don't wanna see half of the city get taken down with her.
And though we didn't play Cammie this past weekend, Star is apparently on a lot of people's short lists. In fact, J made the comment yesterday that had the city started out with no power structure, and he had become Prince (a pretty logical assumption), I'd already be dead... :) Fun stuff! :)
So I'm working on Ember's background for the Sabbat game, and need to start thinking about my back-up character for the Cammie game. Hell, while I'm at it, I'll probably make my back-up character for the OWBN game, with the hope that I don't ever have to use her... I'd like to have one character not awaiting her imminent doom... :)

In other news, one week to Interpol! :)

Hurrah for good sales at Best Buy! :) I am now the happy owner of "Clerks," "Pitch Black," and both Spider Man movies. I was going to wait until the 3rd one was out for the latter, but when you find both, in widescreen, and they're each 2 disc sets, and it's only $20, sometimes you just need some Spider Man movies... :)
I think something is wrong with the "Clerks" disc, though, but I will test it out at J's at some point. I can't get to or past the 13th scene on my DVD player. :( First I thought it was the player, as it froze up on "Moulin Rouge" on Saturday, but it played "Pitch Black" and the first Spider Man just fine, so now I think it's the disc... well, at least that can be returned/exchanged. A new DVD player would be much more of a pain.
But yeah, didn't watch anything NEW (or even new to me) recently. I've been busy enough to remain entertained without watching movies. And that's nice, every now and again. Didn't keep me from watching 2 1/2 movies yesterday, but hey, Sundays are lazy like that, most weeks... :)
::..::
In other news, Interpol in 8 days, and I'm insanely excited. Tickets arrived this morning. I need to borrow their newer CD from J and actually listen to it bunches before the show, so I will know those songs too. But in the meantime, the older CD will have to do. :)

We have a rare occasion this week. The End of the Work Week Wisdom is actually something that I came up with on my own. Yeah, I know, weird. :)
"Evil doesn't always mean bad." --me
Ta da! :)
And yeah, this means that the other ones have been put off, yet again... still, it's nice to have a stock of ideas, so that I'm not scrambling at the last second to figure one out.

In other news, drunken ST meetings sound like they're a lot of fun. At least when you're talking to one of the participants on the phone. And even if the other people involved are being mean. :p
In other other news, I burned some CDs to take to game tonight, planning to pick up the adapter for my Discman at work today. Apparently Becky took it home with her, though, cuz it's not here. Well, there's one more place to check. Otherwise, no music at game tonight... poo... :(

The first baby afghan is almost done. This will make the 3rd afghan I've finished, my ripple afghan and J's thick "use up bunches of orange yarn" afghan the other two. This one has been relatively quick to work up, which has been nice.
After this is done, which will hopefully be tonight, I'm thinking that I'm gonna have to go back through all of the assorted patterns that I've collected and find something new to try. Dunno what, yet, but something new.
Oh, and the sekrit thing I was going to make is apparently not a sekrit. Nick P. thought that the penguin I made for J for Valentine's Day looked like it should hold a 40, so he thought I should make a penguin 40 cozie. It might still happen, but as J already knew about it, well, no need to keep it a sekrit... :)

In other news, I'm exceptionally tired today, but very little sleep will do that to a person. I'm still not quite sure how exactly I only got about four hours of sleep, but, well, that's about all I got, and I'm paying for it now. Still, I can't complain too much. A good night all around, capped off with a good (in the sense of important) conversation, still equals a good thing, even when the side effect is minimal sleep.

Hmmm... I'm trying to think if I have any music to rant about, but I'm thinking that I don't. I similarly don't think I have any music to rave about. Apparently, I need to go CD shopping, or find some more bands that have downloads available at their website... :) Or borrow some more of J's CDs. I looked over a chunk of his collection on Sunday morning, but being only half awake, I forgot to borrow any of them. I also think I've forgotten what I looked at, for the most part. Four hours of sleep will do that to a person, I suppose. :)
I'm still steadily building my music collection on my computer, though, and I'm about to break 4,000 songs. And I still have a good chunk of CDs here at work that I need to take home temporarily, so that I can rip certain songs, if not the entire album. So the 4,000 mark will be reached shortly, I'm sure. :)
In other music news, I got an E-mail this morning confirming that our Interpol tickets have been sent out, so I should have them by Friday or Saturday, Monday at the latest. This is a good thing, as the show is in 13 days. I can't wait! :) For a long time, I didn't get to go to any concerts at all. In the past couple of years, I've seen a few bands play at the bars around town, and I got to see TMBG and Type O Negative. I'm enjoying the prospect of getting back into going to see bands that I like.
Aside from that, it's a mini-Spring Break for me, as I've got 3 days off work that week, between the university being closed on Monday and the two days I took off for the concert. And it'll be nice to get to take a brief trip with J... would be very nice if it could be a longer trip, but maybe we'll do that this summer... :)
Anyways, life is good, except for the fact that it's Wednesday, which means I have today and tomorrow to slog through before Friday. Two games this weekend (NOT going to Paducah this weekend), and not much else going on. Meh, I'll live. Life is good. :)

Not a lot of gaming this weekend, so not a lot to report.
The Black Spiral started on Saturday night, and it was a blast. :) First off, I got to dress up as a cute little raver/emo girl. Then I got to be a bitch for like 5 hours (well, longer, actually, but that's because I forgot to turn off the bitchiness when we got done with game). I established the mocking seat, and got made the least harpy. And I wonder why everyone else hates me, calls me a coward, and thinks I'm useless...
Well, that's okay. Either I'll show them or I won't, but I'm having fun playing the character the way she was meant to be played, so I ain't gonna change that... :) Being a bitch can be so much fun sometimes... :) And though Dawn knows that it will eventually get her character in trouble, Star doesn't give a fuck... :)

In other news, life is good. I got very little sleep on Saturday night (really Sunday morning), but I recovered from it nicely by getting to bed at a reasonable hour on Sunday night and last night. So go me! :)
