Random ramblings cuz I have nothing better to do... or something... :)
This is the site formerly known as Anneke's Haven. Within, you will find information about my previous White Wolf chronicles, and other random gaming related stuff. I also have a blog here, where I talk about pretty much everything and anything, though it's primarily about my exciting life... the definition of exciting definitely being up for debate.
Enjoy your visit, and come back soon!
Yeah, it's all on a bit of a theme... :) Guess I was feeling organized that day. :)

So let's see here... other news...
Thanksgiving was nice, and the break was pretty relaxing. Of course, I spent most of Saturday sewing, and most of Sunday getting things ready for the big craft fair, which is this coming weekend. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at the SIUC Student Center. Lots of craftiness. Come buy some. :)
Once that's all done, I can start thinking about Christmas pressies. Mostly, I'm waiting to see how much stuff I sell. If I sell lots, awesome. If I have a lot of certain items left over, then some people will be getting pressies out of my stock. :) But they're pretty darn kewl, so it's not all bad. :) .

Nope, I haven't posted in a good long while. I can't say that I've been particularly busy or anything, either. I just haven't posted.
Part of the reason may be because of the recent dearth of articles by either Cindy or myself. Cindy has been working on other projects, and I just didn't have anything to write about. But I do have two new(-ish) articles:
I should make a note here about some of the crazy links in the first article. I didn't put them there. Associated Content has introduced a concept called "interlinking," which involves a program inserting links into your articles when you use certain keywords. Unfortunately, this program is so far in beta that they really ought to call it alpha. The site admins are promising fixes for it, but they rolled it out yesterday, two days before Thanksgiving. I seriously doubt we're gonna see many changes for at least a week...
Anyways, if you've got nothing better to do, read through some of my older articles and find all of the out-of-context links that they've inserted. "Running" is my favorite, as it appears in several of my articles.
Or you can count how many times they link a specific phrase in a single article. The Christmas and Halloween articles are great for that, as they link EVERY mention of the holiday, and also my article on belly dancing...
Right. So I have more stuff coming up soon, and I just hope they fix this soon, because it makes my articles UGLY. In fact, if you are a regular reader of my articles, and agree that it makes it ugly, why not let the head honchos know? E-mail admin@associatedcontent.com and tell them what you think of it. :)
Interestingly enough, I've still never had chicken pox... I've been exposed enough times, though, that I doubt I will ever get them... but apparently, you never know. :)

In other news, I have created my very own functional slipper pattern. My pair is almost done, and then I think I will try to make some other ones. The most interesting thing I learned in doing this is that the difference between sizes of human feet, when reduced to inches, is not very great. My size 6 (womens' size) feet are about 9 inches from toe to heel. Jerome's size 12 (mens' size) feet are only about 10 1/2 inches. Funny what a difference that inch and half makes, though, because I've worn Jerome's boots, and my feet swim in them.
Of course, I'm planning to do other research. I've measured Jesi's feet already, and I'm thinking about trying to get other people to measure their feet for me... cuz it's weird to go up to someone who isn't your roommate and say "hey, can I measure your feet?" :) .

Playing catch-up today, both with work and with articles.
Gonna be a drought from me for a while, as I submitting NOTHING at all last week. I am a slacker. :)

In other news, I hate Chicago more now than ever before. Perhaps I can get an article out of that. :) Seriously, though, the list of problems we ran into was HUGE. Traffic, not enough time, getting stuck on a bus forever, and it taking 2 1/2 hours to get back to our hotel after the show. Oi.
If I get my way, I will never again set foot in that city. .
