Tales of the Scary White Girl

One might observe, on reading my blog, that the name of my blog is a bit of a misnomer. I talk very little about being a Scary White Girl; perhaps, you may think, this means that I'm not one. Before you cry "false advertising!", let me tell you a little bit about myself.

For starters, I can assure you that I am a girl. And there are others who can verify this claim.

Secondly, I am also white... as in EXTREMELY pale. The sun and I are not friends, nor have we ever been. I'm all in favor of keeping it that way. I look odd when I'm tan.

And lastly, I have been known to be scary. While I may not be truly terrifying, I do occasionally frighten those who know me. Whether this is because I am a bit bizzare, or because I have a tendency to dress a little bit "gothy" when the opportunity presents itself, I'm not sure. Suffice it to say, I'm at least a little bit scary.

Aside from this, I'm a resident of southern Illinois, a former Ph.D. student, a hard working (or hardly working) University employee, and a bit of a kid that doesn't really want to grow up. I'm older than I look, but my friends do their best to make me feel older than I am.

So this is the place where I talk. Though the topics range all over the place, you will find quite a bit about movies, gaming, music, and crafts. These being four of my main interests, I suppose you can understand why.
