The Archons

In November of 1996, a new Justicar was named for Clan Toreador. She is Anneke, a 5th generation Vampire from Germany, Embraced early in the Middle Ages. She came to the position with one Archon already recruited - this was Cat, a 9th generation Toreador martial artist. She recruited her initial group of Archons after hearing of their success in Germany in dealing with a 'Caine' sighting. After that, they just kept flocking in! Of course, some of them stayed only temporarily. In the end, it was only Cat and the original four members of the group. She is also assisted by Narconti, a 5th generation Gangrel who had been her lover since before they were Embraced.

A disclaimer: I am aware of the fact that the name Anneke was used for the Toreador Justicar in the original Vampire collectible card game (Jyhad). As my friends will attest, however, I had never seen the card until about a year and a half into my game! After looking through some of the other cards, we are convinced that the people at White Wolf can read my mind. :) No, I guess they can't. But it's awfully weird...

What Did the Archons Do?

The Archons are:

A Chinese-Italian martial artist killed by thugs with guns, Cat was Embraced by her aunt, Daniella Scolari, in order to 'save' her life. She was Anneke's first Archon, and later became Anneke's personal bodyguard.

Talon - 8th generation Ravnos (portrayed by Em)
A Gypsy in Germany during World War II, Talon was 'saved' from death at Auschwitz by Cermak, a wandering Ravnos who was feeding upon some of the prisoners of the Nazis. She was one of the original Archons.

James Heinreichsson - 9th generation Gangrel (portrayed by Bryan)
A Canadian by birth, James was working on the development of the atomic bomb in New Mexico during World War II. A freak lab accident caused his mentor, Heinz Rommel, to 'save' the life of his best student at the expense of his own unlife. He was one of the original Archons.

Hiccup - 8th generation Malkavian (portrayed by John)
As he cannot remember his real name, or anything about his life before he was Embraced, Hiccup believes that he has always been a Vampire. He also seems to think that he is the audience in one giant movie - only when someone gives him a part, as Anneke did, does he take an active role in Kindred society. He was one of the original Archons.

Derek Malone - 8th generation Ventrue (portrayed by Ian)
Originally a Marine sniper in Vietnam, Derek came to the attention of 'Jean-Phillipe Chevalier' (actually Jereaux Guilbeau) near the close of the war, who Embraced him into the service of Clan Ventrue. He was one of the original Archons.

Matthew Holdt - 9th generation Nosferatu (portrayed by Dennis)
An art critic from St. Louis, Matthew diablerized his Sire, William Baxter, and generally caused problems for both the Archons and their enemies before meeting his Final Death when his haven was rigged with explosives.

Thomas Wolfe - 11th generation Gangrel (portrayed by Jason S.)
An experienced surgeon, Thomas spent several months working with Anneke's Archons before being reassigned to the new Gangrel Justicar, Art Morgan.

Bradley MacKenzie - 8th generation Malkavian (portrayed by Dan B.)
A rather paranoid individual, Bradley believed that members of the Sabbat were actually aliens, who needed to be destroyed at all costs. After setting out on a cross-city jog one evening, he was never seen again.

A powerful killing machine who made a name for himself as the slayer of many Sabbat, his penchant for diablerie and killing finally caught up with him when his planned raid on Detroit failed miserably. He was kept restrained by Anneke and Narconti for several months before he was slain.

Sera McAllister - 12th generation Tremere (portrayed by Peter)
An upstart Tremere caitiff who 'accidentally' diablerized her Sire, Sera was sent to the Chantry in Vienna after a failed raid on the Sabbat in Detroit.
"I'd like to have my baggage sent to Copenhagen. Yes, that's right. I'm going to Dallas, but this crate here is going to Copenhagen."

Alfredo Fetuccini - 8th generation Malkavian (portrayed by Jim V.)
A rather deranged individual (yes, even for a Malkavian), Alfredo kept the Archons amused for a few months before relocating to Area 52, a base even more top secret than Area 51.

After helping to rescue Obis, Sera, and Paco from their failed raid on Detroit, Drue served as an Archon temporarily, leaving the group when Burning Poppies (a band of Caitiff) went on tour. He now serves as their chief groupie.

An Irish-Catholic lesbian from Boston, Jane was originally a beat poet, but quickly became a powerful fighting machine after joining the Archons. She wasn't all fighter, however, as she proved to be one of the more humane of the group, gathering several mortals and other supernatural beings as her 'family.' She has since been reassigned to work for the Brujah Justicar, Jasmyne, in Africa.

Dieter came from the Ozarks in Missouri, but left home after being Embraced by a wandering Gangrel. His closest friend in both life and unlife was a Homid Glass Walker named Jackson Brown. He was also reassigned to the Brujah Justicar during the period in which Anneke's status was rather questionable.
