The Black Hand All-Star Team,
a.k.a. Ministry of Archons
The Black Hand All-Star Team was originally created as a way to allow my new friends to play old characters from other chronicles, while allowing one of my old players to continue playing his Archon character, Derek Malone (From about the mid-point in the Archon's chronicle, Derek had been watched by members of the Black Hand - Jereaux Guilbeau (his Sire) and Anneke). Thus to tie everything together, the Black Hand All-Star Team was born!
Well, maybe not... I guess the proper phrase here would be "ya go with what ya know." Things didn't quite work out too well on the first Black Hand mission that the team was sent on (oh, except for them killing someone on the Red List... that was good...) so we decided on an overhaul... What this really means is Dawn got her way, and gets to run an Archons chronicle again! And we will call it... the Ministry of Archons!
The storyline: In April of 1998, Anneke was called before the Inner Council of the Camarilla to justify the actions of herself and her Archons. The end result of this was that she was allowed to remain a Justicar, but chose instead to step down. In the early parts of 1999, Anneke realized that she missed her old job, and began reassembling a team of Archons. Well aware that she could not retrieve most of her original team, she spoke to many of her contacts in order to find a group of very unique individuals for the new team. In March of 1999, Anneke was given her old job back, and she has managed to assemble a team even more diverse than the last one. (See the old team.)
The Black-Hand All Star Team/Ministry of Archons is:
-
- Derek Malone, 8th generation Ventrue (portrayed by Ian)
- Despite having spent only about 25 years as a Vampire, Derek was chosen for the Black Hand as a result of his impressive combat ability with all types of guns, as well as for his devotion to excellence in all areas of his existence. During his hasty exit from San Antonio, he helped to kill a vampire on the Red List. Derek, by virtue of his previous experience, was the acknowledged leader of the Archons.
-
- Stephen Carroll, 10th generation Gangrel (portrayed by Jon)
- Although very young in years as a Vampire, Stephen proved himself worthy of the Black Hand's attentions through his actions during the events of "Under a Blood Red Moon," and also as a result of his combat abilities and very level head. Stephen was also present for the killing of the Red List vampire, and went to work for Anneke as an Archon.
-
- Matt Black, 8th (by diablerie, formerly 9th) generation Nosferatu (portrayed by Omar)
- Formerly in the employ of Petrodon, Matt went freelance for a while, before being approached by Anneke to join the new team of Archons. A specialist in reconnisance, Matt filled a key role in the Archon team before being reassigned to a permanent post in Washington, D.C., to monitor the situation in Baltimore.
-
- Delgado, 8th generation Lasombra (autarkis) (portrayed by Jon)
- Appearing eerily human, Delgado was recruited by Anneke to serve as an "Arbitrator" - not exactly an Archon, but very similar. While his background is a bit shady in places, he has proven himself to be an upstanding member of the Camarilla often enough for Anneke to trust him. He dealt primarily with political matters and matters of judgment for the team of Archons to which he was assigned.
-
- Herman Rittsohn, 8th generation Toreador (portrayed by Zach)
- A blacksmith by trade, Herman is descended directly from the Toreador Justicar. He was recruited for his ability to make wonderful toys, as well as for his many other skills. His exact role among the Archons varied, but he always took a very active role in their exploits.
-
- Katarina Pippen, 8th generation Ravnos (portrayed by Kat)
- Everyone needs a Ravnos! Especially Anneke, who grew quite accustomed to having one in her old team. Katarina is the grand-childe of an old friend of Anneke's, and she was recruited for the team to fill much the same role that Talon filled in the past - making neat illusions and generally keeping everyone guessing.
-
- Jonathan Byrne, 8th generation Tremere (portrayed by Josh L.)
- A specialist in spirits and other esoteric matters, Jonathan was nonetheless a welcome addition to the Archons. His magical skills and other abilities filled a void that had long been empty in the team. After some time with Anneke’s team, he was assigned to a special research assignment in Budapest, with the former Tremere Justicar, Karl Schrekt.
-
- Jacen, 8th generation Assamite (portrayed by J.W.)
- Probably the most controversial new member of the team, Jacen was hired by special contract to work with the Archons. In particular, he contributed to the lethal part of the team, as well as helping to collect research both for Anneke and his clan.
-
- Smith, 8th generation Nosferatu (portrayed by Christi)
- A former FBI agent who worked in L.A.'s Chinatown, Smith was a skilled investigator who brought her considerable skills to the Archons.
-
- Roberto, 8th generation Brujah (portrayed by Jeff)
- Hacker and demolitions expert extraordinare! Roberto played a major role in information gathering for the Archons, as well as helping them to clean up after themselves...
