Amber Knight

Amber Knight, born Miriam Dumont, was the youngest of three daughters born to Victor and Elaine Dumont. While her older two sisters were perfect Southern belles, Miriam was a tomboy to the extreme. From a young age, she was outside climbing trees and getting into fights with the neighborhood boys. Despite her diminutive size, she proved to be decent at holding her own in a fight, and was quick enough to evade most attackers.

Her grades were average, thought poor enough to keep her out of a four-year college. She attended a community college in her native North Carolina, took secretarial classes, and got a job with an insurance firm in Pennsylvania. Her job was boring, but it paid the bills, and left her evenings free. She spent most of her evenings at the gym, not because she needed to improve her physique, but because there was not much else to do. It was in the gym where she first saw a sign for Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling. The PCW was holding tryouts, and Amber decided to go for it.

Women who wrestle well are not particularly common. Women who wrestle well and don't look like men are even less common. Amber, who could wrestle while still looking like a woman, was a promoter's dream come true. She began wrestling on the evenings and weekends (under the name Mercedes), learning the ropes very quickly. Soon she had money, a little bit of fame, and men absolutely beating down her door. Wrestling treated her well, but it took its toll on her as well. In order to keep in shape, she started using steroids, and somewhere along the way contracted the HIV virus . Just when she was about to make it big (having been scouted by the WWF, WCW, and ECW), she removed herself from wrestling completely.

Unknown to her friends in the wrestling circuit, it was because she had found something else to occupy her time. Miles Longshaft, a Setite, had made her his ghoul. Unfortunately for her wrestling career, he had not made her a ghoul so she could whoop ass on national television. While her skills would certainly come in handy, he was more interesting in her connections in the insurance field. So Miriam went back to work, while learning about her new life from Miles in the evening.

Recently, Miles chose to Embrace Miriam, who has changed her name to protect her family and old friends. She has been finishing closing up personal matters in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and coming to grips with her new existence and the lack of her normal vision. She is now joining her Sire in Carbondale, far away from anyone she might have known before.
