The Library

Just a place to let you all know what I've read recently, what I'm reading currently, and what's on the agenda. Suggestions and comments are always welcome! :)

Recently finished:

Stardust, by Neil Gaiman
One of the books that Jess and Chris sent me. It's a fantasy type story, and reminded me a lot of what Neil Gaiman does in the Sandman series, particularly when Sandman is dealing with the faeries.

Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman
Another book from Jess and Chris. I had seen the mini-series of this over the winter, bought my own copy of it as soon as I could, and wanted to read the book immensely! I was really impressed with how true to the book the mini-series was! Very cool!

American Gods, by Neil Gaiman
The book that Kel sent me (in exchange for a book I sent him). It took me a very long time to get through it, and showed me just how little I really know about mythology... but I liked it! :)

Swordpoint
Another book that Kel sent me. Definitely not the type of book I would normally read, but who am I kidding... I just love books! I liked it, but I was a little disappointed with the ending... but maybe that's just me!

Currently reading:

The Vampire Chronicles, by Anne Rice (rereading)
After I saw Queen of the Damned, I started rereading The Vampire Lestat. I've read Interview enough times that I didn't need to start with it. :) And eventually, I get to read the ones that I haven't read yet (Blood and Gold, for one!)
At the moment, I'm about 3/4 of the way through Queen of the Damned, and finding a lot of stuff that I didn't remember...

Next up:

Lord of the Rings trilogy, by J. R. R. Tolkien
No, I have never read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Yes, I realize that this makes me a horrible person. Yes, I plan to redeem myself as soon as I can. Thank you, have a nice day, please drive through!

Anita Blake series, by Laurell K. Hamilton
Eryx sent me a couple of these (in exchange for a book I sent him). So I'm gonna start in on these sooner or later. There are ten of them so far, so that ought to keep me busy for a while! :) I've re-read the first book, and just need to remember to borrow the second one now...
